Glow

A few weeks ago H came downstairs and saw the sun rising behind some clouds and shouted with joy, "Glow!" Now each morning he likes to come downstairs and look for "the glow." For H, the glow occurs only when the sun rises behind clouds, creating a particularly stunning display. No matter what is going on, I can't help but smile at this little morning tradition. I am so thankful for these little bits of innocent enthusiasm.

Morning hike

One of the amazing things about being in CA is the beautiful parks and amazing weather. We decided to take advantage of these facts and headed out for a hike this weekend. I must admit, hikes are much shorter and slower now that H is walking. He loved being outside and exploring the new terrain.
